An alert can be tested to verify if the notification is configured correctly so that all intended recipients of the alert receive the notification messages.
Use the following steps to test an existing alerts in the CommCell:

From the CommCell Console toolbar menu, click Alerts.

In the Alerts dialog box, right-click the alert that you want to test and click Test.
A test message will be sent to the recipients of the configured alert.
