Uninstalling a Standby Node

When you have more than one standby node, you can uninstall or remove one of the standby node.

Procedure

1. Disable the CommServe LiveSync operations. For more information on disabling the LiveSync operation, see Enabling or Disabling CommServe LiveSync.

2. Uninstall Instance 2 (or the instance with SQL Server Agent and CommServe Failover packages) of the standby CommServe node available on the production CommServe host. For more information about uninstalling packages, see Uninstalling Commvault Remotely Using the CommCell Console.

3. Enable the CommServe LiveSync feature which facilitates CommServe Recovery Using High Availability CommServe Host. For more information on enabling the LiveSync operation, see Enabling and Disabling CommServe LiveSync.

   The CommServe LiveSync dialog box in the Control Panel will no longer display the uninstalled standby node.
