Updating a Customized Backup RMAN Script with the Selected CommCell Console Options

The Commvault software generates an RMAN script with the options you selected in the CommCell Console.

You can modify the script to add in parameters or commands not available through the CommCell Console. If you made changes to the script that you no longer want, use this procedure to reset the last saved RMAN backup script back to the default CommCell Console options.

Procedure

1. On the Backup Options dialog box, click Advanced.

2. On the Custom Rman script tab of the Advanced Backup Options dialog box, reset the script to the default CommCell Console script:

   1. Select the Customize script check box. The last saved RMAN script is displayed.

   2. Click the Update Script button.

   3. To have the default script replace the current one, on the Update Script dialog box, click the Yes button.

   4. Click OK to close the Advanced Backup Options dialog box.

3. Click OK to close the Backup Options dialog box.
