You can monitor the health of a CommCell environment using Google Assistant.

  • Enable the Cloud Assist feature.

  • Download the Google Assistant app on a smartphone or tablet, and then log in using a Google account.

Procedure

  1. Open the Google Assistant app on your smartphone or tablet.

  2. Say, "Talk to Commvault".

  3. Accept the prompts to link your Google account for the first time, and then click or tap OK.

    A login screen appears.

  4. Enter your Commvault Cloud username and password, and then click or tap Login.

    An authorization screen appears.

  5. From the Preferred CommCell list, select the CommCell environment that you want to monitor.

  6. Click or tap the Authorize button.

The Commvault action is enabled for the CommCell environment that you selected.

  7. Optional: Link additional smartphones, tablets, or standalone devices (for example, Google Home) to your Google account.

  8. Using a smartphone, tablet, or standalone device, ask a question or issue a command by saying, "Talk to Commvault [COMMAND or QUESTION]".
