Viewing RMAN Scripts from the CommCell Console

You can view an RMAN script before you run it to:

  • Verify that the values for the Oracle tag variables are not truncated.

  • Add options to the command that are not supported through the CommCell Console.

Restores issued through the CommCell Console use the Oracle RMAN interface to run the restore. The software generates an RMAN script based on the options you select from the CommCell Console.

  1. From the CommCell Browser, go to Client Computers > client > Oracle.

  2. Right-click the instance, then go to All Tasks > Browse and Restore.

  4. Select the database, and then click the Recover All Selected button.

The Oracle Restore Options dialog box appears.

  5. Select the option for the type of restore operation, and then click Next.

An Oracle restore options dialog box appears.
