Symptom
Backup job status can show "Completed with Errors," even though virtual machines in vCenter and vCloud are actually backed up.
The Virtual Machine Status tab in the job details shows:
Failed Could not backup vCloud data for VM
Job summary reports also display
[%VM%] Failed Could not backup vCloud data for VM
Cause
If a VMware instance is configured to access both vCenter and a vCloud director, backup jobs fail to collect vCloud information for virtual machines in the vCenter.
Resolution
To prevent this message from being generated, configure separate virtual clients for vCloud and vSphere in the CommCell.
