Workload Summary in the License Server Usage Summary Report

The Workload Summary view of the License Server Usage Summary report displays usage for all CommServe computers that report to the License Server. Information includes usage for each workload configured in the CommCell environment, regardless of the licenses applied on the CommServe computer.

Workload usage information appears in this report only for CommServe computers installed with Commvault version 11.32 (Platform Release 2023E) and later versions.

Viewing the Workload Summary

You can view the Workload Summary in the License Server Usage Summary Report on the Command Center. License usage is calculated for this report once per day at 12:00 a.m.

  1. From the Command Center navigation pane, go to Manage > Account > Subscription and Usage > License.

    The License page appears.

  2. In the Usage section, click License server usage summary report.

    The License Server Usage Summary Report appears.

  3. At the top-right of the page, click Workload Summary.

CommCells

The CommCells table displays each CommServe computer in the environment and indicates whether the CommServe computer is the license server or a child of the license server.

Column

Description

CommCell ID

The ID for the CommServe computer.

CommCell

The CommServe computer.

Registration code

The unique code assigned to the CommServe computer when the software was registered with Commvault.

Version

The Commvault software version installed on the CommServe computer.

Time zone

The time zone configured on the CommServe computer.

Usage collection time

The time when license usage was last calculated.

License expiration

The date when the license expires.

License generation time

The date and time when the license was initially created.

License application time

The date and time when that license was applied to the CommCell environment.

Workload Usage by Capacity Table

The Workload Usage by Capacity table displays each workload that consumes capacity, the number of client computers that consume capacity for that workload, and the amount of data used.

Column

Description

Workload ID

A unique ID for the workload.

Workload

The type of data that's backed up. For example, workloads include products such as SQL Server, VMware vCenter, and Windows Server.

Number of Clients

The number of client computers where the workload license is being consumed.

Used

The amount of capacity currently used

Number of Complete Clients

The number of client computers that consume capacity for the Complete license.

Complete Used

The amount of capacity currently used for the Complete license.

Number of Snapshot Clients

The number of client computers configured to run snapshot backups.

Snapshot Used

The amount of capacity used for snapshot backups.

Number of Replication Clients

The number of client computers configured for replication operations.

Replication Used

The amount of capacity used for replication operations.

Workload Usage by Users Table

The Workload Usage by Users table displays each workload that consumes a per-user license and the number of users that are currently used.

Column

Description

Workload ID

A unique ID for the workload.

Workload

The type of data that's backed up for users. For example, workloads include products such as Endpoint, Microsoft OneDrive, and Salesforce.

Number of Users

The number of users consuming the per-user license.
