You can create database groups for data that has different backup requirements. For example, you can create a database group for databases that you want to back up once a week.
When you add an instance, a default database group is created for the instance. The databases that you add to the database groups that you create are not backed up by the default database group.
Procedure

From the Command Center navigation pane, go to Protect > Databases.
The Databases page appears.

On the Instances tab, click the instance to add the database group to.
The Instances page appears.

Click the instance to add the database group to.
The instance properties page appears.

On the Database groups tab, click Add database group.
The Create table group dialog box appears.

For Subclient name, enter a name for the database group.

From the Plan list, select the backup plan to use for the database group.

In the Backup content section, select the databases to include in the group.

Click Save.
