Adding an Instance for Alibaba Cloud ApsaraDB RDS for MySQL

To manage a database, you can either use an existing instance or add a new instance.

Procedure

1. From the Command Center navigation pane, go to Protect > Databases.

   The database Overview page appears.

2. From the Add instance list, select Cloud database service.

3. On the Add Cloud DB Instance page appears select Alibaba Cloud, and then click Next.

   The Configure Alibaba Cloud page appears. For further steps, see Database guided setup (Step 5 onwards).

Results

• The new instance contains a default database group. The default database group includes all the data in the Alibaba Cloud ApsaraDB RDS for MySQL database. You cannot delete the default database group.
