You can either use an existing PostgreSQL instance or add a new PostgreSQL instance on Azure Database, using an existing Azure account.
Before You Begin
Configure the permissions to access the Azure resources. Download the AzureDBBackupRole.json file and use it to apply the permissions.
Navigate to Database

From the Command Center navigation pane, go to Protect > Databases.

On the Overview page, from the Add instance list, select Cloud database service.

On the Add Cloud DB instance page, select Microsoft Azure, and then click Next.

On the Configure Azure Database page, select PostgreSQL, and then click Next.

The new instance contains a dump-based backup set and a default subclient.

When you add an instance, a default database group is automatically created. The default database group includes the user created databases. You cannot delete the default database group.
