Allowing Oracle Data Guard Nodes To Have the Same Instance Name

In an Oracle Clusterware or Oracle Data Guard configuration, you may need to have nodes on the Oracle Data Guard pseudoclient have the same instance names. By default, this additional setting is set to "Y", which allows nodes on the Oracle Data Guard pseudoclient to have the same instance names.

Procedure

• To the client computer, add the sRACUSESCANCONNECT additional setting as shown in the following table. This allows nodes on the Oracle Data Guard pseudoclient to have the same instance names.
