Backing Up an Azure Cosmos DB for MongoDB Collection Group On Demand

You can back up an Azure Cosmos DB for MongoDB collection group on demand.

Procedure

1. From the Command Center navigation pane, go to Protect > Databases.

   The database overview page appears.

2. On the Instances tab, click the instance that you want to back up.

   The instance overview page appears.

3. On the Collection groups tab, click the collection group that you want to back up.

   The collection group overview page appears.

4. In the upper-right area of the window, click Backup.

   The Backup options dialog box appears.

5. Under Backup level, select the type of backup that you want to perform, and then click SUBMIT.

   The backup size shown in the job details is an estimate.
