Backing Up an SAP for Oracle Subclient On Demand

You can back up an SAP for Oracle subclient on demand.

You can perform a full backup or an incremental backup as follows:

• Full backups include the database, the log files, and the control file.

• If Rman_util is selected as the Backup device setting for the subclient, you can perform an incremental backup. Incremental backups include the data that changed after the most recent backup.

Procedure

1. From the Command Center navigation pane, go to Protect > Databases.

   The Overview page appears.

2. Click the Instances tab.

   The Instances page appears.

3. Click on an instance and select the Subclients tab.

   The subclients list appears.

4. In the row for the subclient that you want to back up, click the action button , and then select Back up.

   The Backup options dialog box appears.

5. Under Backup level, specify the type of backup to perform.

6. Click Submit.
