Backing Up a Splunk Cluster On Demand

You can back up Splunk clustered indexes on demand.

Procedure

1. From the Command Center navigation pane, go to Protect > Big data.

   The Big data page appears.

2. Click Splunk.

3. In the row for the cluster, click the action button , and then click Back up.

   The Select backup level dialog box appears.

4. Under Backup level, select the type of backup that you want to perform, either Full or Incremental.

5. Click OK.
