You can define a blackout window at the server group level to prevent operations from running during specific time periods. By default, backup operations in the CommCell environment run 24 hours a day without restrictions.
For example, you can block backups between 7:00 AM and 10:00 AM to avoid impacting users at the start of the workday. To configure this, create a server group with automatic association for the plan that includes the laptops. Then, in the server group configuration, define a blackout window for the required time period.
When a blackout window is configured, operations that are scheduled to start during the blackout period are placed in a queued state. After the blackout window ends, the queued operations automatically resume.
