Changing the Root Password

All the nodes in the HyperScale cluster use the same root password. To change root password, you must change the password on all the nodes.

Procedure

Repeat the following steps on all the nodes.

1. Login to the node.

2. Type the following command:

   # passwd
   

3. Follow on-screen prompts to change the password. (Remember, passwords are case-sensitive.)

4. Type exit, and then press Enter to logout.

What to Do Next

To verify that you changed to the same password on the nodes, login as root on all the nodes using the new password.
