You can create and apply tags to entities for a user group.
A tag is a pair of a key and an optional value. You can use tags to categorize resources, which makes searching easier. You can assign a tag to a number of entities such as virtual machines, hypervisors, VM groups, file servers, databases, laptops, servers, and server groups.
Before You Begin

Create a role. For more information, see Managing Roles.

Create an entity tag. For more information, see Creating Entity Tags.

Create a user group. For more information, see Creating a User Group.
Procedure

From the Global Command Center navigation pane, go to Manage > Config blueprint > Security.
The Security page appears.

Click the User groups tile.
The User groups page appears.

Click the name of a user group.
The user group page appears, showing current configurations.

On the Associated entities tab, click Add association.
The Add association dialog box appears.

Enter an entity type in the Entity type field.

Select a pre-defined role from the Roles list. For more information, see Managing Roles.

To apply a tag, perform one of the following steps:

To apply an existing tag, enter an existing tag name in the Tag name field, and then enter a value in the Tag value field (optional).

To apply a new tag, enter the tag name in the Tag name field, enter a value in the Tag value field (optional), and then click Add.

Click Save.
Example
Suppose you want the members of a user group to act as billing administrators for companies that are located in California.
To do this, you would complete the following steps:

Create a tag called California and assign the tag to all companies located in California.

Create a role called Billing Administrators and assign it all billing permissions.

Create a user group called User Group 123, and then do the following:

Add a new association with the Entity type of Companies.

Select the role of Billing Administrators.

Select the tag California.
