You can view, create, and delete alert definitions for individual CommCell environments.
View Alert Definitions

From the Command Center navigation pane, go to Monitor > Alerts.
The Triggered alerts page appears.

Click the Alerts definitions tab.
Create an Alert Definition

On the Alerts definitions tab, click Add alert definition.
- The Select a CommCell dialog box appears.

Select a CommCell, and then click OK.
The configuration wizard appears.

Enter the Alert Name for the new alert.

Select the Alert type for the alert. For example, you can select Data protection to notify tenant admins when backups begin, or when they fail. Or select Admin alert to notify yourself when Commvault encounters job activity anomalies or missed SLAs.

If you want to send email notification individually for an alert, move the Send individual notification toggle to the right.

Click Next.

For Criteria, select the criteria for which the alert will be triggered. The available criteria selections will depend on the alert type you selected above.

Click Next.

For Associations, select the servers or server groups to apply the alert to.

Click Next.

For Filters, if you want to define the alert based on alert tokens, do the following:

Click Add rule group.

Click Add rule.
The Add rule dialog box appears.

Create the rule using alert tokens. For example, you can use the token JOB ID to create an alert when a Job ID's number is greater than 1000.

Click Save.

Click Next.

For Notification, do the following:

Click Add notification.
The Add notification dialog box appears.

From the Type list, select how to notify users when the alert is triggered, and then specify the recipient details.
For example, if you select Console, alerts are sent to the Command Center and CommCell Console. If you select Event Viewer, alerts are sent to the Windows Event Viewer.

Click Save, and then click Submit.
Delete Alert Definitions

On the Alerts definitions tab, do the following:

To delete a single alert definition, click the alert definition's action button
and then click Delete. -
To delete multiple alert definitions, select the checkboxes for the alert definitions, and then click Delete in the upper-right area of the page.
