Configure VMware Aria Automation integration

Set up the integration between VMware Aria Automation and Commvault to enable automated protection workflows.

Prepare Commvault

• Configure a VMware hypervisor with a name that matches the Aria Automation endpoint name.

Deploy the integration

1. From the Commvault Store, download the VMware Aria Automation Data Protection Plugin, and then import it into vRealize Orchestrator to enable automated protection workflows.

2. Run the installation workflow.

3. Provide the following inputs:

   • Web service URL

   • User credentials

   • Encryption pass phrase

Configure templates

1. In Aria Automation, open a cloud template.

2. Create a new input that uses the Commvault data protection policy.

3. Add the input to the VM resource properties in the cloud template.

Validate the setup

1. Deploy a VM using the configured template.

2. Verify that the VM is added to a VM group in Commvault.

3. Confirm that protection is applied.
