Configuring an Access Node for Proxmox

You can configure an access node directly, without configuring a workload.

Procedure

  1. From the Command Center navigation pane, go to Manage > Infrastructure.

  2. Click the Access nodes tile, and then click Add.

  3. From the Vendor list, select Proxmox VE.

  4. Click Linux (64-bit) to download the package.

  5. Install the access node package on a Proxmox host that meets the minimum requirements. For more information on system requirements, see System Requirements for Proxmox VE Access Nodes.

    To install the access node package, do the following:

    1. Extract the downloaded installer.

    2. Use either the system console or SSH to navigate to the installer directory.

    3. Run the following command:

      sudo ./cvpkgadd
      
    4. Select the Virtual Server Agent package.

    5. Follow the on-screen prompts to complete the installation.

  6. Copy the provided Auth code, as it will be required during the installation.
