By default all HBA ports in the VTL have both the initiator-mode and target-mode enabled. A specific mode can be defined if necessary.
Procedure

From the navigation pane, click Access Management.

Under Target Port Configuration, in the Modify column for the port, click Modify.
The Modify FC Port page appears.

From the Mode list, select the mode.

Enable NetApp Hosts, if the port is specific to a NetApp file server.
This will ensure that LUN 0 on that port will be a SCSI Medium Changer device which is a requirement for NetApp file server.

Click Submit.
Result
The Mode is displayed under Target Port Configuration.
