Creating a Network Pair

You can set up a network pair between a server/server group and another server.

Procedure

  1. From the Command Center navigation pane, go to Manage > Network > Backup networks.

    On the Backup networks screen, the table shows a list of existing backup networks for servers/server groups, as well as existing network pairs for each network.

  2. Click Add network pairs.

    The Configure network pairs wizard appears.

  3. On the Select Computers page, do the following:

    1. In the Select 1st computer list, select the first server or server group.

      Note

      If the first computer is a client group, you can use wildcard expressions or CIDR notation to enter a network range, as follows:

      • Wildcard examples:

        • 10.*

        • 10.0.*

        • *.backup.com

      • CIDR examples:

        • 10.0.0.1/8

        • 192.168.100.14/24

    2. In the Select 2nd computer list, select the second server or server group.

  4. Click Next.

  5. On the Add network pairs page, enter the interface values for the network pair and then click the Add button add_button.

  6. Click Next.

  7. On the Confirm Setup page, confirm that all information is correct.

  8. Click Submit.
