You can create a schedule to install Commvault software updates on the CommServe server.
Note
The system installs the software that was already downloaded or copied to the CommServe server cache. For more information, see the following:
Procedure

From the Command Center navigation pane, go to Manage > Maintenance.
The Maintenance page appears.

Click Upgrade software.
The upgrade software section appears.

Click Add schedule
.The Add Upgrade Software Schedule wizard appears.

In the Name field, enter a name for the schedule.

In the Frequency field, select a recurrence pattern for the upgrade software. Depending on your selection, more options will appear, as follows:

One time. Select this recurrence pattern to open a calendar, which allows you to select a date and time for a one-time software upgrade.

Automatic. Select this recurrence pattern to open options that restrict software downloads depending on job intervals, network types, computer power options, resource utilization, and file management options.

Daily. Select this recurrence pattern to set a repeatable daily software download schedule.

Weekly. Select this recurrence pattern to set a repeatable weekly software download schedule.

Monthly. Select this recurrence pattern to set a repeatable monthly software download schedule.

Click Next and then select the servers or server groups to install the updates on.

Click Next for options to download the required media to the software cache.

Click Next for upgrade options, including reboot options.

Click Submit.
The new software update schedule appears in the Upgrade software schedules section.
