Report Scope and Filters
You can filter the report using the following parameters:
- CommCell – Displays DDB disk usage for a specific CommCell.
- Company – Filters DDBs associated with a specific company.
- Storage – Limits results to a selected storage pool.
- Deduplication DB – Displays information for a specific deduplication database.
The timestamp at the top of the report indicates when the data was last refreshed.
Disk Space Usage Trending
The Disk Space Usage Trending chart shows how disk space usage changes over time for deduplication databases.
Purpose
- Track growth patterns of DDB disk usage.
- Identify sudden drops (for example, pruning or cleanup operations).
- Detect rapid growth that may lead to capacity exhaustion.
Interpretation
- Gradual increases typically reflect normal backup activity.
- Sudden decreases often indicate successful pruning or maintenance operations.
- Sustained growth without drops may signal pruning issues or insufficient free space.
Storage Pool Summary
The Storage Pool Summary section provides a high-level overview of deduplication database usage per storage pool.
Column Descriptions

| Storage Pool | Name of the storage pool associated with the deduplication databases. |
| Company | Company that owns the storage pool, if applicable. |
| Total Store Count | Number of deduplication stores (DDBs) in the storage pool. |
| Used Space | Total disk space currently used by all DDBs in the storage pool. |

Deduplication DB Disk Space Utilization Details
The Deduplication DB Disk Space Utilization Details table provides detailed disk usage information for each deduplication database path.
Column Descriptions

| Metrics Server | CommCell or metrics server associated with the record. |
| Partition Name | Name of the DDB partition and partition ID. |
| Media Agent | MediaAgent hosting the deduplication database. |
| Deduplication DB Path | File system path where the deduplication database is stored. |
| Storage Pool | Storage pool associated with the deduplication database. |
| Company | Company associated with the DDB, if applicable. |
| Capacity | Total disk capacity allocated to the deduplication database path. |
| Used Space | Amount of disk space currently used by the deduplication database. |
| Free Space | Amount of disk space currently available on the DDB path. |
| Free Space (%) | Percentage of free space remaining on the DDB path. |
| Date to Be Full | Estimated date when the DDB path may run out of space, based on current growth trends. |
| Last Backup Time | Timestamp of the most recent backup that used the deduplication database. |
| Backup Storage Policy / Plan | Storage policy or plan associated with the DDB backups. |
