Deleting the Media

You can permanently delete media information from a CommCell environment by removing spare and retired media from the scratch pool and the retired media group.

If necessary, you can select and delete multiple spare or retired media from the Media List.

Procedure

1. From the Command Center navigation pane, go to Manage > Storage > Tape.

   The Tape page appears.

2. Click the tape storage for which you want to delete the media.

3. Click the Media tab.

4. Select Spare or Retired from Media List heading.

   The selected Media group appears.

5. Select the media that you want to delete, click the Actions button , and then select Options > Delete.

   The Confirm delete dialog box appears.

6. Click Yes.
