Editing a Failover Group

After you create a failover group, you can edit the group to delete the group, change group information, add schedules, add VMs, or perform actions on VMs.

Procedure

  1. From the Command Center navigation pane, go to Secure > Auto recovery > Failover groups.

  2. In the Name column, click a failover group.

    The page for the group appears.

  3. To delete the group, in the upper-right area of the page, click Delete.

  4. To edit the group information, in the Group Details section, click Edit.

  5. To create a recurring schedule for planned failovers, in the Planned failover schedules section, click Add schedule.

  6. For Hyper-V and VMware destinations: To create a recurring schedule for test boots of the VMs in the DR site, in the Test boot schedules area, click Add schedule.

  7. In the Machines table, in the Actions column, click the action action_button button, and then select an action to perform on a VM.

    • Edit: Edit general settings for the VM, and then click Save.

    • Remove: Click Remove, and then click Yes.

    • Edit prescript: Assign and edit a pre-failover script, and then click Save.

    • Edit postscript: Assign and edit a post-failover script, and then click Save.
