-
Click a instance you want to edit.
The instance overview page appears.
-

-
Optional: To run a log backup operation from the master server, select the Always use master for log backup check box.
-
Optional: To run a backup operation from the master server if standby Commvault services are not available, select the Use the master server if the standby server is not available check box.
Note
The Use the master server if the standby server is not available check box is selected by default.
-
Select the Delete archive logs checkbox to delete the Archive logs after the successful backups.
Note
-
By default, the log files in the wal directory that are backed up during a backup operation are not deleted after the backup job. If you want, you can delete these backed up log files after a backup by selecting the Delete archive logs check box.
-
The backup log file deletion is only supported for FSBased backups.
-
If archive_mode is set to always, the logs are archived on master and standby nodes. The backup operation cleans up logs from all the participating nodes, provided the Delete archive logs option is enabled.
