Editing a Region-Based Storage Rule

To edit a region-based storage rule, you can edit the secondary storage copy, add a copy, or perform both operations.

If the location of a server or laptop changes and you need to edit the region associated to a client, see Modifying the Workload Region Associated with Entities.

Procedure

1. From the Command Center navigation pane, go to Manage > Plans.

   The Plans page appears.

2. In the Plan name column, click the plan.

   The properties page for the plan appears.

3. In the Storage policies section, perform any of the following changes:

   • To edit a secondary copy, perform the following steps:

     1. Go to the region, in the Name column, click the storage rule.

        The Edit copy dialog box appears.

     2. Make the changes.

     3. Click Save.

   • To add a copy, do the following:

     1. Go to the region.

     2. Click Add copy.

        The Add copy dialog box appears.

     3. In the Name box, enter a name for the copy.

     4. From the Storage list, select the storage that you want to use for the copy.

     5. Click Save.
