Editing Sybase Instance Settings

After you create a Sybase instance, you can update any of the settings that you configured during the creation process. This can be helpful if you need to change the system administrator account, backup plan, or encryption key backup settings.

Procedure

  1. From the Command Center navigation pane, go to Protect > Databases.

    The Overview tab appears.

  2. On the Instances tab, click the instance. To view only the Sybase instances, in the Type filter, select Sybase.

    The Overview tab for the instance appears.

  3. Click the instance you want to edit.

    The instance details page appears.

  4. In the General section, click the Edit button the edit button that looks like a gray pencil.

    The Edit Sybase instance dialog box appears.

    Note

    For Sybase HADR instance, the General tile displays the primary node information.

  5. Change any of the available settings:

    • To change the instance name, under Instance name, enter a new name.

    • To change the backup plan, under Plan, select another backup plan.

    • To change the system administrator, under Connection details, enter another user name and password.

    • To change Sybase setup details, go to Sybase options.

    • To disable the backup of encryption settings, clear the Backup database encryption keys box.

    • To update the master key password, in the Master key password box, enter another password.

  6. Click Update.
