Enabling Automatic Media Labeling in Stand-Alone Drives

You can enable automatic media labeling in stand-alone drives.

Procedure

1. From the Command Center navigation pane, go to Manage > Storage > Tape.

   The Tape page appears.

2. Click the tape storage for which you want to enable automatic media labeling.

3. Click the Media tab.

4. In Auto discovery of media section, move the Auto stamp media in drive toggle key to the right.

   The Default media type dialog box appears.

5. Select a media type, and then click Save.
