You can set up email properties to allow users interact with a workflow by responding to an email. For example, you can configure the UserInput activity to allow email responses.
Procedure
-
From the Command Center navigation pane, go to Manage > Integration > Developer tools.
The Developer tools page appears.
-
Click the Workflows tile.
The Workflows page appears.
-
From the All tasks list in the upper-right corner of the page, select Email Approval.
The Email approval properties dialog box appears.
-
Select the Enable email approval check box.
-
Set up the following email information:
-
Email Server: The name of the email server.
For example, enter smtp.companymailserver.com.
-
Mailbox: The email address of the mailbox that should receive the reply emails sent by the users.
-
Password: The password for the email account in the Mailbox.
-
Folder: The name of the email folder that is used to store the emails sent by the users.
For example, enter Inbox.
Tip
Create a new email folder specifically to hold the reply emails, and then create a rule in your email program to direct the reply emails to that folder. This is useful if you are reusing the mailbox of a valid user to receive emails instead of creating a new mailbox.
