Enabling Snapshots and Selecting a Snapshot Engine for Database Solutions

To back up a subclient with snapshots, you must enable snapshots and select a snapshot engine.

Procedure

1. From the Command Center navigation pane, go to Protect > Databases.

   The Instances page appears.

2. Click an instance name.

   The instance details page appears.

3. In the Subclient section, click a subclient.

   The subclient details page appears.

4. In the Snapshot Engine section, click Edit.

   The Edit snapshot engine dialog box appears.

5. Select Enable snapshot engine.

   The Engine name list appears.

6. From the Engine name list, select a snapshot engine, and then click Save.
