WORM Lock (Storage Lock) is not enabled by default and is not part of the HyperScale Flex installation process.
To use WORM or Storage Lock:

Enable WORM Lock for the required tenants on the VAST array. For Pure storage, enable WORM lock at the bucket level for the buckets used by HyperScale Flex storage pools. Refer to the vendor specific documentation for more information.

After WORM is enabled at the storage level, enable the Storage Lock option in the CommCell environment. Navigate to Storage > Cloud > HyperScale Flex Storage Pool > Configuration. For instructions, see Configuring Storage Lock.
Enabling WORM Lock makes data immutable for the configured retention period.
After WORM Lock is enabled:
- Data cannot be modified, deleted, or overwritten until the retention period expires.
- Retention settings cannot be reduced after they are committed.
- Even administrators cannot remove or alter locked data.
- Storage capacity cannot be reclaimed until the retention period expires.
