Erasing the Spare Media from Media List

You can erase spare media from the media list of a tape library.

Procedure

1. From the Command Center navigation pane, go to Manage > Storage > Tape.

   The Tape page appears.

2. Click the tape storage for which you want to erase the media.

3. Click the Media tab.

4. Select one or more media with the status Spare media, click the Actions button in the Media List heading, and then select Options > Erase spare media.

   The Erase spare media dialog box appears.

5. Select one of the options - Quick erase or Full erase.

6. Click Save.
