Exclude Workspaces from Power BI Backup Content

You can exclude specific Power BI workspaces from the backup content to prevent them from being protected.

Before You Begin

• Verify that the Power BI application is configured.

• Verify that a backup plan is created.

Exclude Workspaces

1. From the Command Center navigation pane, go to Protect > Power Platform.

2. Click the Power BI app.

3. On the Content tab, at the top of the table, click Add.

4. On the Add / Exclude Content window, select Exclude content from backup.

   The Type tab appears.

5. Leave Workspaces selected and click Next.

6. From the list of discovered workspaces, select the workspaces that you want to exclude from backups, and then click Next.

   The Power Platorm Plan tab appears.

7. Select the plan you want to use to back up the workspaces, and then click Next.

8. Review your selections in the Summary tab.

9. Click Submit.

Result

The selected workspaces are excluded from the backup content and are no longer protected by backup operations.
