To use the HyperScale Edge Autodocking solution, you must first create a device registration entry for the Edge server in the Commvault Cloud and then complete the node-side installation.
This docking and registration workflow allows you to prepare the Commvault Cloud configuration before the Edge hardware is physically installed at the production site. Once the Edge server is powered on and accessed by the root user, it communicates with the Commvault Cloud to authenticate and complete the installation.
