A user group is a set of users who perform the same tasks.
Creating a User Group
Create user groups to simplify the administration of the CommCell environment.
Before You Begin

You must be the service CommCell tenant administrator or a part of the master user group on the service CommCell.
Procedure

From the Global Command Center navigation pane, go to Manage > Config blueprint > Security.
The Security page appears.

Click the Users groups tile.
The Users groups page appears.

At the top of the page, click Add user group.

Enter a Group name and Group description for the new group.

To specify the amount of data that members of the user group can back up, do the following:

Move the Quota enabled key to the right.

For Quota limit, enter the maximum amount of data (in gigabytes) that members of the group can back up.

Click Save.

After the user group is created, on the Targets tab, in the upper-right area of the table, click Add.
The Add dialog box appears.

From the Targets list, search and select the required target.

Click OK.

Click Save.
Associating a User Group with a Service CommCell
You can associate a user groups to one or more service CommCells.
Procedure

From the Global Command Center navigation pane, go to Manage > Config blueprint > Security.
The Security page appears.

Click the Users groups tile.
The Users groups page appears.

Click the user group name.
The user group details page appears.

In the Targets section, click Edit.
The Edit dialog box appears.

From the Service CommCells list, select one or more service CommCells.
Optionally, select All to associate the user group with all service CommCells, including those created later.
Results
The user groups appear for selection in the selected service CommCells.
