Manually Assigning Backup Plans That Are Associated with Content by Plan Rules

If you use the manual assignment method (the default method) for plan rules, you must manually assign backup plans to subclient after the Commvault software finds subclient that matches the plan rules, and then queues the subclient on the Waiting room page. You can also skip the assignment of a backup plan to a specific subclient.

Procedure

1. From the Command Center navigation pane, go to Manage > Plans.

   The Plans page appears.

2. Click Plan rules.

   The Rules page appears.

3. On the Waiting room page, assign the backup plan or skip the assignment:

   • To assign a subclient to a backup plan, select the subclient, and then click Assign.

   • To skip the assignment of a subclient to a backup plan, select the subclient, and then click Skip assignment.

     Subclient that you skip is moved to the Excluded entities page.
