You can start trial services and purchase subscriptions for your Commvault account.
Marketplace trials for Commvault use a flexible, credit-based system that allows you to evaluate backup, restore, and cyber resilience capabilities before converting to a paid subscription.
Marketplace trials are available for supported cloud providers, including AWS and Azure. Although the trial experience is similar across providers, some behaviors differ, such as trial expiration handling and subscription conversion behavior.
Each marketplace trial includes:
-
30,000 trial credits
-
30 days of usage
Credits are automatically consumed as you use Commvault services.
How marketplace trial credits work
Marketplace trial credits are consumed when you perform operations in Commvault.
The number of credits consumed depends on:
-
The workload type
-
The operation type
-
The amount of protected data
Each operation type, such as Silver protection, cross-region copy, and extended retention, consumes credits according to the published Full Effective Terabyte Plus (FETB+) rate card. See the rate card for additional details.
Marketplace trials provide visibility into trial usage directly in the application so that you can monitor consumption throughout the evaluation period.
Tracking trial usage
Commvault displays trial status information directly in the application.
At the top-right of the page, a trial banner displays:
-
Remaining trial days
-
Trial status
Select the banner to view detailed trial usage information, including:
-
Credits consumed
-

This information helps you understand how quickly trial credits are being consumed.
