Modify protection group settings

After you add a protection group, you can modify its settings to update rules and tags, discover and backup resources.

Go to the protection group

1. From the Command Center navigation pane, go to Protect > Cloud Discovery > AWS.

2. On the Protection groups tab, click the protection group.

Modify rule configuration

1. On the Rules tile, click .

2. Click Add.

   • To match resources by region, add a region rule.

   • To match resources by tag, add a tag rule. The tag value must be in the format Tag name\Tag value or Tag name.

3. Click Save.

4. To modify an existing rule, click Edit rule from the actions menu.

5. Modify and save the changes.

6. Click Save.

Discover and backup resources

You can perform an on-demand discovery and backup for resources.

1. Click the Resources tab.

2. Click Discover, and then Yes.

3. To run an on-demand backup for all the resources, click Backup.
