Modify settings for a Databricks instance

Databricks settings include backup plan, credentials and SQL warehouse to use for backup operations.

Modify the backup plan

  1. From the Command Center navigation pane, go to Protect > AI & Analytics.

  2. Click the Databricks instance.

  3. On the Overview tab, click the backup plan.

    The backup plan page appears.

Modify the Databricks credentials

Verify that the credentials are correct.

  1. On the Configuration tab, in the General section, next to Databricks authentication, click edit button outline grey/gray pencil.

  2. To modify the credential, next to Credential, click edit button outline grey/gray pencil.

  3. Update the Client ID and Client Secret, and then click Save.

  4. Click Save.

Modify the Storage credentials

Verify that the credentials are correct.

  1. On the Configuration tab, in the General section, next to Storage credentials, click edit button outline grey/gray pencil.

  2. To modify the credential, next to Credential, click edit button outline grey/gray pencil.

  3. Update the values, and then click Save.

  4. Click Save.

Modify the access node

  1. On the Configuration tab, in the Access nodes section, click edit button outline grey/gray pencil.

  2. Select the new access node, and then click Save.

Modify the SQL warehouse used for backups

The Commvault software uses a configured SQL warehouse for backup operations. If no SQL warehouse exists, Commvault deploys a serverless 2X-Small SQL warehouse named cv_managed_sql_warehouse_<workspace_name>.

To modify the SQL warehouse used for backups, follow these steps:

  1. On the Workspaces tab, next to the workspace, click the action button action_button, and then click Edit.

  2. Disable the Auto manage SQL Warehouse toggle key.

  3. Select the SQL warehouse, and then click Submit.
