Modifying a File System Subclient

Subclients contain information about what data files and folders are backed up. You can modify subclients to back up specific data files and folders.

Before You Begin

Review the following considerations for the Follow Mount Points option:

  • For new subclients that you create in Commvault Platform Release 2023E (11.32) or later, the Follow Mount Points toggle key is displayed by default.

  • For subclients that are upgraded to Commvault Platform Release 2023E, the Follow Mount Points option is set to Inherit from Schedule by default and honors the schedule policy level configuration.

You can change the Follow Mount Points option to either ON or OFF. After you select either of the new options, the Inherit from Schedule value will not be available.

Procedure

    The Overview page appears.
