An interactive install does require user input.
Procedure

For Command Center, create the Custom Package, and then host it in the Download Center or any preferred location.
Note
For Commvault SaaS, it is not recommended to perform interactive installation. For more information, see Create Custom Package. The tenant admins can download the Laptop package.

To install the package, open the .exe file (for Windows) and .pkg file (for macOS).
This operation requires local administration permission. After installation, the Edge Monitor will launch.

Enter the Username and Password (available in the system tray) to access Edge Monitor.
If SAML is configured, simply enter your email address to initiate login via SAML credentials. After registration and activation are successfully completed, the backup process will start automatically.
Note
SAML login through Edge Monitor uses WebView, which does not support Azure certificate-based authentication. Instead, you can install the software using a third-party tool.
