Verify that your environment meets the prerequisites and network connectivity requirements for integrating Service CommCells with the Global Command Center (Global Service CommCell). These requirements ensure reliable communication, configuration synchronization, and centralized monitoring.
General Requirements
-
The Service Command Center URL must be accessible from the Global Service CommCell.
Prerequisite Machine Description Features Enabled Command Center availability Service CommCell Ensure that Command Center is installed, accessible, and operational on each Service CommCell that will be registered with the Global Command Center. Registration, aggregation, reporting, and monitoring Outbound connectivity to Global Hub Server Service CommCell Allow outbound HTTPS connectivity from Service CommCell web servers to the Global Hub Server. Hub communication, blueprint health monitoring, and job signaling -
The Global Command Center URL is accessible from each Service CommCell.
-
The software version of the Global Command Center must be the same as or higher than the service CommCells.
-
Each Service CommCell must have outbound connectivity to the Global Hub Server.
- Default port: 5010 (TCP)
- Alternatively, traffic can be routed over HTTPS (443) based on network policies.
-
The Global CommCell and service CommCell must use valid CA-signed HTTPS (Tomcat) certificates.
Network Port Requirements
| Port | Protocol | Component | Purpose | Notes | Where the Port Must Be Open |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 443 | HTTPS | Tomcat | Provides access to Command Center over HTTPS. | Default Tomcat port is 443. If a custom port is configured, ensure that port is open instead. Examples: https://master-hostname.com/commandcenter https://service-hostname.com/commandcenter Both Global and Service Command Centers must be able to communicate with each other. |
Global CommCell and Service CommCells |
| 8403 | TCP | Commvault Core Services (Tunnel/Forwarding) | Enables core Commvault communication required for Global Command Center operations. | -- | Global Command Center and Service CommCells |
| 5010 | TCP | Hub Server | Enables communication between Global and Service CommCells. | Traffic can be routed over HTTPS (443) if required by network policies. | Global CommCell |
| 5005 | TCP | Global Configuration Manager (GCM) | Enables configuration and management communication from the Global Web Server to the Hub Server. | Typically installed with web server components. | Global Web Server to Hub Server |
