You can remove a node from multi-node Index Server. The indexes from node that you want to remove are moved to the remaining nodes associated with the Index Server. After the node removal process completes, the Commvault Data Analytics service is removed from that client.

You can remove only one node at a time for an Index Server.

If the node removal process fails, an administrator can start the node removal job again.
Procedure

From the Command Center navigation pane, go to Manage > Infrastructure.
The Infrastructure page appears.

Click the Index servers tile.
The Index servers page appears.

In the Name column, click the Index Server.
The Index Server properties page appears.

On the Overview tab, in the Nodes section, click Remove from the Actions menu.

Click Yes.

To track the progress of node removal job, navigate to Monitor > Jobs > Active jobs tab.
