Once registered, the Commvault Console provides a single, unified view across both on‑premises and SaaS environments, enabling centralized monitoring, reporting, and management.

The Commvault Console hybrid model requires Commvault 11.42 or later.
On-Premises CommCell Requirements

You must enable secure communication between your on‑prem environment and Commvault Console for registration, monitoring, reporting, and ongoing operations.

Your on‑prem CommCell Commvault Console must be accessible to Commvault Console.

- Log in to the on‑prem CommCell Command Center as a CommCell Administrator.
SaaS Environment Registration
SaaS environment registration ensures proper authentication and seamless access to SaaS workloads from Commvault Console.

If a different account was used, use tenant administrator credentials to complete SaaS registration.
User Identity and Access Requirements

If SAML or Active Directory authentication is configured on the on‑prem CommCell:

If a Commvault Console user does not exist on the CommCell:

SAML/AD users are automatically created.

Local users are not automatically created.
