Overview
Use this section to restore Exchange Online mailboxes that are organized by Active Directory (AD) groups.
This approach enables you to perform bulk restore operations for multiple mailboxes based on group membership.
When to use this
Use group-based restore when:
- You need to restore multiple mailboxes at once
- Mailboxes are organized by department, role, or business unit
- You want to simplify restore operations using logical groupings
