Restore an Item to Its Original Location in the Teams

You can restore an item to its original location.

Acquiring a Delegated Access Token

To restore a post to its original location, you will need to acquire a delegated access token.

  1. From the Command Center navigation pane, go to Protect > Kubernetes > Applications.

  2. Click Microsoft 365.

    The Microsoft 365 apps page appears.

  3. In the Name column, click the app that contains the teams item that you want to restore, and then click the Configuration tab of the app.

    The Configuration page appears.

  4. In the Teams connection settings panel, click the action button action_button, and then click Acquire delegated access token.

    The Acquire delegated access token tool appears.

  5. Click Proceed.

    Provide the required user information, that has a valid license, to complete the process.

Restoring Teams Items to its Original Location

  1. From the Command Center navigation pane, go to Protect > Microsoft 365.

    The Microsoft 365 Overview page appears.

  2. On the Apps tab, click the app.

    The Overview page of the app appears.

  3. To perform a restore, click Restore on the upper-right area of the page.

    The available Restore options tool appears.

  4. To restore individual items, select Restore items, and then click Next.

  5. In the Name column, click the name of the channel that contains the items that you want to restore.

    The items that you can restore appear.

  6. Select the item to restore, click the action button action_button, and then click Restore.

    The Restore options dialog box appears.

  7. On the Destnation tab, leave Restore the data to its original location selected, and then click Next.

    The Options tab appears.

  8. Beside If the file exists, specify what to do with existing items, and then click Next:

    • To not overwrite existing items, select Skip.

    • To overwrite existing items, select Unconditionally overwrite.

  9. Beside Restore Posts, specify where to restore the posts, and then click Next.

    • To restore posts under the Posts tab, select the Back to Posts tab option.

    • To restore posts as HTML files under the Files tab, select the As HTML file under Files tab option.

    • To include dleted items in the restore job, select the Include deleted items checkbox.

  10. Under the Review tab, review your options and then click Submit.

    The Summary tab appears.

  11. Click Close.
