You can restore Microsoft Power BI workspaces and reports to their original locations to recover from data loss, corruption, or unwanted changes.
Important

When you restore a Power BI workspace, Commvault automatically will do the following.

Recreate the workspace if it does not exist.

Restore the original folder hierarchy.

Place reports in their original locations.

Reapply workspace settings, including user access, role assignments, and dedicated capacity.

Restoring reports that have identical names as existing reports at the source might result in conflicts.
Restore Power BI Workspace

From the Command Center navigation pane, go to Protect > Power Platform.

Select the Power BI app that contains the workspaces you want to restore.

In the upper-right area of the screen, click Restore.

From the list, select the workspaces you want to restore and then click Next.

From the Power BI dropdown, select Restore the data to original location, and then click Next.

On the Options tab:

To avoid overwriting existing items, select Skip.

To overwrite existing items, select Unconditionally overwrite.
Caution
Selecting Unconditionally overwrite replaces the current model with the backed-up model.

To include deleted items, select Include deleted items.

Click Next.
-
Review the items selected for restore, and then click Submit to start the restore operation.
The Summary tab appears.

Click Close.
