You can restore a team based on the custom categories you have defined, to its original location.
Procedure

From the Command Center navigation pane, go to Protect > Microsoft 365.
The Microsoft 365 Overview page appears.

On the Apps tab, click the app.
The Overview page of the app appears.

To perform a restore, click Restore on the upper-right area of the page.
The available Restore options tool appears.

To restore teams based on custom categories, select Restore teams by custom categories, and then click Next.
The Custom Category tab appears.

To add a rule to the custom category, click Add rule.
The Add rule tool appears.

From the Source list, select the type of data that you want to define the category, configure the settings for the data, and then click Add:

Team Created Time: To create a category of backup data based on the time when the data was created, select this option.

Operator: To define a period of time, select On or After or On or Before.

Value: Select a date.

Team Display Name: To create a category of backup data based on the team name, select this option.

Operator: To define the text that each team name has in common, select one of the available options, such as Starts With or Equals. You can also use a regular expression to define a pattern of text.

Value: Enter a string of text that each team name has in common.

Team SMTP Address: To create a category of backup data based on the SMTP address associated with the team, select this option.

Operator: To define the text that each SMTP address has in common, select one of the available options, such as Contains or Ends With. You can also use a regular expression to define a pattern of text.

Value: Enter a string of text that each SMTP address has in common.

TM_GroupOpenExtensions: To create a category of backup data based on a key-value pair that was set on a team, select this option. These extensions are set for each team. By using this option, teams are filtered out by the specified name and value to run backups.
Important
The values that are mentioned below are case sensitive.

Name: Enter the extension name of the custom category.

Operator: To define the text that each custom category rule name has in common, select one of the available options, such as Starts With or Equals. You can also use a regular expression to define a pattern of text.

Value: Enter the extension value that each custom category has in common.

On the Destination tab, under Microsoft Teams, leave Restore the data to its original location selected, and then click Next.
The Options tab appears.

Beside If the file exists, specify what to do with existing items, and then click Next:

To not overwrite existing items, select Skip.

To overwrite existing items, select Unconditionally overwrite.

Select the Include deleted items checkbox. if you want to include deleted items in the restore.
The Review tab appears.

Review your selections, and then click Submit.
The Summary tab appears.

Click Close.
